The Ding Ding Bucket

The Great Wolf Lodge or the Ding Ding Bucket what my kids call it. We had such a great time there. With so much to do and with how much fun we have, Joe and I are making this a yearly tradition. We have gone there since Gibson was just under a year and a half and Rylee was 4 months old.

Because watching 3 kids under the age of 4 at a water park wouldn't be much fun, we decided to not take Trey with us. It was great being able to go down the water slides with the kids and hang out with just the two of them!

Alright I need to confess, I hate taking pictures while on vacation. Phew, there it's out. I said it. That is probably why these pictures are of nothing very exciting! I just love to be in the moment of things with my kids and my husband, instead of being behind the camera. Call me crazy, but it's nice taking a break from the camera every now and then.

Here's Rylee in her pj's already eating her supper. They were so tired by the end of each night, it was great! I think the best part of bedtime for Gibson and Rylee was that they got to sleep in bunk beds.
My little water boy. The first year that we went to the Great Wolf Lodge, Gibson hardly would get near the water. He was terrified. Thankfully each year it gets better. This year Rylee and Gibson had so much fun going down the slides while Joe and I sat by the edge and relaxed. It was wonderful!

We spent so much time in the water we left looking like prunes!

OK, these aren't the most technically correct pictures, but you get a taste of what we did there. It was such a fun time! We'll be back again with all 3 of the kids next year!

Just Arrived

This litte tootsie pie after 9 long months is finally here. Matt and Megan, thanks so much for bringing your beautiful daughter in tonight to have her pictures taken. She was such a wonderful little baby and such a trooper with me.

Hope you guys enjoyed your little sneek peek! I will let you know when the rest are ready. It was great to meet you!

On another note, I really meant to say that I will post pictures of our vacation this weekend!! Or, I just haven't had time to get them out of the camera and on to the computer yet...

Meet My Husband...and Trey

I introduce you to the one who captured my heart. Joe and I have been married for almost 6 years now. It's amazing how time goes by so quickly. And of course Trey is here too. Trey is everywhere. He remindes me of Where's Waldo. Remember Waldo? He's everywhere and so is Trey.

Trey is obviously enjoying himself.

At least he's not wearing a red and white striped shirt.

Oh but what's this? A red and white striped hat?

Faces of Trey

He is such a little buddy. Joe took the week off this week to hang out with me and the kids. Early this week we took them to The Great Wolf Lodge. It was fabulous!! We had so much fun! I will post those pictures this weekend.
Since Joe isn't working this week, I am actually able to run an errands without strapping 3 children in their car seats! I can seriously go to the grocery store for just one item and be back in less than a half hour. Imagine that!
Anyway, it is great he is actually taking time off. It is so fun to hang out and give our kids some one on one attention. Joe took Rylee to the mall today and this afternoon he took Gibson to his first movie in the theatre. They came home on somewhat of a sugar high. I believe that for Gibson, the highlight of the movie were the Skittles, popcorn, and a big cup of pop. Needless to say, there was no nap for him today!

Brown Eyed Girl

To me Rylee has the most beautiful brown eyes. She definitely didn't get them from Joe or I. Joe has hazel eyes and mine lean more toward the greenish side.

Of course I had to try this on Trey too. He's always around for me to try stuff on. Poor kid.

My foot still hurts. Thanks for asking.

Signs of Getting Older

Seriously, over the past 6 months I have had more health issues. I had to have a root canal on one of my teeth, resulting in the need of a crown put on. I swear I brush my teeth, a lot. The dentist assured me that you don't need a root canal as a result of not brushing, but rather a nerve just decides to commit suicide. Seriously, that is what he said (or, "that's what she said" if you're an Office fan). Then I had complications after I had Trey. Boy that was fun, having a new baby and then being back in the hospital 2 weeks later. The eye doctor just upped my prescription...again. I tend to think that mailboxes are people while driving. Terrible back pain, a pinched nerve the doctor thought. Thank goodness that is gone now. The latest is Plantar Fasciitis. In a language that I can understand, the symptoms are the heel of your foot hurts, really hurts.

I won't tell you how old I am but I am a few years younger than 30. Younger than 28. OK, I am 26. I guess I feel that all this shouldn't be happening to me quite yet. Aren't I still considered a spring chicken? This really makes me fearful of when I am in my 30's. What then?!? Please understand that I do realize that I know there are people that are far worse off than me and I shouldn't complain. I just can't believe that in such a short time all this is happening, and it just makes me think...what next?

If you have made it reading this far...thank you. I will keep you all updated on my health issues. I am sure that you all are SO interested in the mundane things that happen in my life I like to complain about.

Surprise!

Yesterday my sister Rachel turned 30. Happy birthday to her! To help make her day extra special I organized a surprise party for her; and boy was she surprised! I invited her family over for cake but little did she know that I had "invited" a lot more people. A lot of her friends and extended family all kept ringing the doorbell throughout the night. What fun!! We shared this delicious Costco carrot cake. If you have never tried it, you must be living under a rock.

Seriously, you need to try this carroty goodness.

Costco is so worth the membership if only for the
sweet peaks of carrots that grace this glorious cake...

Rachel, I hope you had a fabulous day. Here's to 30 more wonderful years!
