9 Months

I know, you've missed seeing him on my blog! Trey will be 9 months old in a couple of days. I can't believe how time is going by so quickly! We've been though a lot in the 9 months Trey has been with us. Thankfully, he's finally starting to feel better after he had tubes put in his ears for the constant ear infections he was getting. He definitely is eating well as you can tell from his rolls. I love every inch of him though!

Baby Love

This sweet little girl came in to have her first pictures taken. Ava is 12 days old. She will have to get used to having her pictures taken...a lot. She is my newest niece!!!

Super sleepy today, that's all she wanted to do.

Here is big brother Arie, checking out the newest addition to his family.

Thanks for taking the trip over to have pictures today! Mom, thanks for watching all the kids!!!

Family Time

Fun times tonight as I met up with this adorable family! What a perfect night for photographs, cool weather and sunny skies! Quite a bit different than the weather the other week!

I am a bit partial to this little buddy...maybe it's because his name is Joe just like my husbands!

We couldn't get this little guy to sit still for the life of him, so instead we had dad hold him for a little while. Worked like a charm!!

Thanks for inviting me to get some family pictures done for you guys! I hope you've enjoyed your sneak peek!

Father's Day!

My in-law's just love pictures of their grand kids. They have 6 of them, the oldest turning 5 next month and the youngest being almost 9 months. It is super hard to take pictures of them all and to get them all looking at the camera with some sort of smile on their face but we did it. Not only are they all looking at the camera, they each in their own way have a cute smile on their face. I thought I would share my capture with you all. My kids are on the left and my sister-in-laws kids are on the right. I think it turned out pretty cute!

Happy Father's Day!

Little One

Exactly one week after taking her maternity pictures, this handsome baby was born. He's not only handsome, but he was an excellent model to work with! Super sleepy and cooperative - just how I like them!

Isn't his hair just to die for! Love it!

We are so excited that Jack is here and we can watch him grow up. Thanks so much you guys for giving me the honor to photograph him!

Moving Day

So we have sold our house and the stress begins. We are starting to pack and are getting ready to move to a townhouse where we will live until the next house is finished being built. This is my life. Live in a house for a short while and move on to the next. Crazy me but I actually love it! I love to pick out new things, decorate and watch it all come together. The part I don't like is moving all our junk all over the place!

We had an awesome realtor who sold our house and he just happens to be my fabulous husband. Joe works for Keller Williams Realty as a Real Estate Agent. Since Joe is also an experienced builder he would be a great realtor for you if you are looking to buy or sell a home. Being a builder he knows a lot about quality construction and if you can't find it, he will build it! If you're selling your house, Joe will help you set your price accordingly, market your property and try to get it sold fast! Feel free to give him a call at 616-262-1958 to discuss the details and to get a free comparative market analysis. He'd love to help you!

Since we are moving and we need to be out in 2 weeks, I will be taking a mini vacation from accepting new sittings. Please feel free to email or call me to reserve your session for anytime after July 6, 2008. If you have just had a baby, or have something that just can't wait 'till after July 6, please let me know and I will try my best to accommodate you.

Hot Family and a Hot Day

I took pictures for this super cute family today. What a fun family they were! It was a fun morning but it was HOT outside! Despite being the sweaty photographer, we got some beautiful photographs.

There was this sweet barn that we quick got some pictures by.

Aren't these boys adorable?

Thanks for the fun morning! I will let you know when the rest are done, but in the meantime, I hope you have enjoyed your sneak peek!!

Making A Difference

Today in church there was a message that was given that really spoke to me and I believe that we all have the capability to make a difference. The speaker was from Stop the Traffik, an organization trying to free people that are taken from their loved ones. It touched on equal trade between countries and how there is a lot of human trafficking going on around the world including the USA. Humans, mostly children, are being stolen from their communities and are forced into labor, used for sex, or for ill intent behaviors.

I found this to be particularly interesting and I felt that this is where I could actually make a difference. More that 1/2 of the world's chocolate is produced from the coco beans that are found in Cote D'lvoiro, Africa. It is estimated that around 12,000 kids have been trafficked into the coco farms found in this area. Boy do I love chocolate but not enough that I will support that kind of behavior. Here is how we can help; when shopping, look for products that say "fairly traded" or "traffic free" on the product. You can read more about the chocolate industry here. If you visit this link it will lead you to more information on where you can purchase "fairly traded" or "traffic free" products.

We can make a difference to support ending the trafficking industry. If we stop purchasing the products that come from a place doing this kind of bad behavior, we can shut their business down and let governments know we will not support this type of practice. We the consumers have that power to think wisely about what we buy. Something to think about next time you go to grab that candy bar.
