Great Weather

Thankfully it was a beautiful day today because originally we had this family's session scheduled for last week but as we all know, the weather didn't cooperate.   I'm so glad that I didn't already have a session scheduled for this morning so I could squeeze them in.  It was great to meet this family, they were so much fun to work with and had the perfect setting for fall pictures right in their backyard!

I love it when I get to photograph husbands and wives together.  I don't think I have any pictures of just my husband and I since our wedding and I guess I feel that this is really important to do.  Love how this one turned out, such a cute couple!

Ugh, my favorite of the day.  One of the sweetest 7 year old I've ever met.  I could have eaten her right up!

Loved it in black and white too...

Told ya - she's a keeper!

I'm SO glad that we could make this happen this morning.  Thank you for inviting me to your home to capture this time in your life!  I'm saving the family pictures for your gallery, which I'll contact you when it's ready!  Hope you've enjoyed your preview!

A Family Divided

Last night I had my brother and sister-in-law over so they could have my nephews pictures taken.  They showed up with him wearing this....

Sure the boy is cute but at our house it's green and white.  Yup, Joe and I are Spartan fans and almost everyone else in my family are Michigan fans.  Please note that if you would like your child's pictures taken wearing Michigan paraphernalia I'll do it, but I won't like it.  :)

This outfit is MUCH better!

I had a lot of fun with you guys last night!  Thanks for coming over!

Day Late And A Dollar Short

It's a new day, the weather is beautiful and most importantly my computer is agreeing with me again!  Yesterday morning I hung out with this gorgeous family to take some Christmas pictures.  I've been photographing this family throughout this past year and each time I meet with them, I have such a blast with their kids.  It's amazing though how much they grow up in just a few months.  Thanks for being patient with your sneak peek you guys!  Hope you enjoy your very small preview, I don't want to give away too much!!!  :)

More to come tonight as I have two more families to cover.  Until then...

Seriously...

Could my computer act any slower tonight?!?   I really must need to clean out some folders because it's taking FOREVER to upload pictures from 2 sessions that were done today.  Honestly though, I think it's my card reader that hooks up to my computer - it's an off brand (meaning it doesn't work very efficiently).  UGH.  My apologies my precious clients, my hope is that they will be up tomorrow afternoon/evening.  I hope you accept... because I like you all.    :)

Halloween Fun!

My kids were SO excited for Halloween this year.  Every year it has gotten more and more fun for Joe and I to watch because they are starting to "get it".  Gibson was so funny.  This year he was The Hulk, but he honestly really has no clue who that really is so he kept saying that he was "The Honk".  It was perhaps the funniest thing I have heard in my life, him telling people while he was receiving candy at the door when he was asked who he was.  In his most serious, scary voice..."I'm the HONK"!

Here he is looking so scary - The Honk.

Rylee this year was a princess.  I found this costume at a garage sale last year and thought it was really funny.  It turned out that it was the nastiest thing I have ever seen when I put it on her.  The spiraled, rattiest, frizziest matted hair was just too much for me.  Thankfully she didn't seem to mind too much.

Here is our poor guy dressed in pink.  While we were out last night everyone thought he was a girl because of the pink - I sure hope he doesn't end up with a complex because of it.  Joe and I do have somewhat of a sense of humor.  Trey was a whoopee cushion.  You can't see his costume too well as he's stuffed in the stroller but trust me, it looked really funny.

We had a blast this Halloween, the kids were so much fun, were so excited and got WAY too much candy.  Hopefully you had just as a good time as we did!

Good Friends

Last night we had this wonderful family over to hang out for a little while and get their Christmas pictures taken.  We have such a good time whenever we get together with this family.  Joe and I used to live next to them 2 houses ago.  That is the one draw back of building and moving all the time - leaving behind the neighbors that we get attached too.  Thankfully we still keep in touch with them and have fun whenever we see each other.  It helps because our kids get a long so well too!!  We got some GREAT Christmas shots - but remember that I am not posting them here because I don't want to have any surprises ruined.  So... this family will have to be patient and wait for their gallery to see them!  Thanks for the fun night last night!

This little buddy didn't want anything to do with pictures last night.  We all had pizza and caught up for a little while before taking pictures so it didn't help we were almost past bedtime for him when it was his turn.  We'll remember that for next time!

Infectious Fun!

I had the opportunity to hang downtown today with this incredible...large...family!  You can just tell that when they all are together it is just pure contagious fun!  We had access to a condo that was right in the heart of downtown and it really had an awesome view of the city from the rooftop deck.  After the formal ones that we did inside the condo, we headed up to the deck to do the outside ones.  Mother nature wasn't very kind to us today, because as soon as we stepped outside we were blasted with drizzle and wind.  YUCK!  Despite the cold, we did manage to get a few good ones, they just aren't posted on here...so the family will have to be patient to see those!

The Grandparents and their Grand kids.

I am going to be quite honest with you, I have no idea how these two are related but it sure made for a cute picture! :)

The immediate family.

The Grandpa...

and the lovely Grandma.  These two I learned today just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past June.  What a wonderful example of a lasting marriage!

We had quite some laughs with the series of pictures that we took below.  Reasons why will only be shown in their gallery! :)

Thanks again for the pleasure of photographing you guys today!  You all were wonderful to work with!
