New Toys!

What an expensive week! I just received my new lens and my new camera today! Of course I had to try it out. My model was so cooperative, so handsome, so photogenic. He was simply fabulous! Here is Trey, shameless in just his diaper.

Goodbye Pacifiers; Goodbye

The day has come to take my daughter's pacifiers (pipes what we call them at our house) away. My daughter was addicted to her pipes and if she could marry them, I am sure she would've. She not only needed one in her mouth at all times but she would want to hold one in each hand also. I have been dreading the day, but it needed to come. She will be 2 1/2 soon and she is just starting to look silly with them in her mouth. So, over the past couple of months she was limited to have them only at her nap and at bedtime. Finally when she got used to that, we ripped away her soul and went cold turkey with out any at all. She was not happy. After a couple of nights she finally got used to falling asleep without them. I didn't give in. If their is one important thing that I have learned from being a mother over the past 3 1/2 years, it is that the mother must always win, and I did.

Goodbye pacifiers!

Now how to get her from stealing her youngest brothers pipe. That is another battle. I am going to save that one for another day.

Puke, Puke and More Puke

What a rough weekend for my poor oldest son. Gibson early Sunday morning (I am talking way too early) woke my husband and myself up with his crying... OK screaming. So thinking that this was just a dream that turned into a nightmare; I sent my husband upstairs to console him. Boy was I wrong. Dead wrong. Puke was everyware. In his hair, on his pillow, on every sheet on his bed, every blanket on his bed, his pajamas, on the floor, the table next to his bed, on the ceiling, on all the walls. Maybe I am stretching the story a little too far on the last couple, but I think you get the idea. It was gross. My manly husband a short while later came downstairs to get some help from me, then totally bailed. He couldn't stomach it. Liar. Needless to say I didn't get much sleep that night. I hate the flu.

Pretty in Pink

Today was such a fun day. My daughter had one of her first experiences with nail polish. Bright, bold, hot pink nail polish! As I was putting the "pretties" on her fingers my son was so intently watching with envy. He wanted some too. Now tell me, how do you explain to a 3 year old that he can't have any, that only ladies wear nail polish? I suppose some men do, but I will save that conversation with him for another day. Here is finished product:

Some day I think Rylee has a future as a hand model. Great positioning and beautiful hands!

Gibson will definitely get the ladies with toes that look like this.

Definitely.

Something tells me his father won't be so happy.

Almost There!

Boy do I love the weekends! Halfway there. It almost is like a mini vacation when my husband is around to help me with the kids, I actually can throw a load of laundry in AND fold it! Wow, husbands are wonderful!

I have been faithfully working on my website trying to finish it up so I can concentrate on what I love to do and that is take pictures of YOU!
