Halloween Fun!

My kids were SO excited for Halloween this year.  Every year it has gotten more and more fun for Joe and I to watch because they are starting to "get it".  Gibson was so funny.  This year he was The Hulk, but he honestly really has no clue who that really is so he kept saying that he was "The Honk".  It was perhaps the funniest thing I have heard in my life, him telling people while he was receiving candy at the door when he was asked who he was.  In his most serious, scary voice..."I'm the HONK"!

Here he is looking so scary - The Honk.

Rylee this year was a princess.  I found this costume at a garage sale last year and thought it was really funny.  It turned out that it was the nastiest thing I have ever seen when I put it on her.  The spiraled, rattiest, frizziest matted hair was just too much for me.  Thankfully she didn't seem to mind too much.

Here is our poor guy dressed in pink.  While we were out last night everyone thought he was a girl because of the pink - I sure hope he doesn't end up with a complex because of it.  Joe and I do have somewhat of a sense of humor.  Trey was a whoopee cushion.  You can't see his costume too well as he's stuffed in the stroller but trust me, it looked really funny.

We had a blast this Halloween, the kids were so much fun, were so excited and got WAY too much candy.  Hopefully you had just as a good time as we did!

Good Friends

Last night we had this wonderful family over to hang out for a little while and get their Christmas pictures taken.  We have such a good time whenever we get together with this family.  Joe and I used to live next to them 2 houses ago.  That is the one draw back of building and moving all the time - leaving behind the neighbors that we get attached too.  Thankfully we still keep in touch with them and have fun whenever we see each other.  It helps because our kids get a long so well too!!  We got some GREAT Christmas shots - but remember that I am not posting them here because I don't want to have any surprises ruined.  So... this family will have to be patient and wait for their gallery to see them!  Thanks for the fun night last night!

This little buddy didn't want anything to do with pictures last night.  We all had pizza and caught up for a little while before taking pictures so it didn't help we were almost past bedtime for him when it was his turn.  We'll remember that for next time!

Infectious Fun!

I had the opportunity to hang downtown today with this incredible...large...family!  You can just tell that when they all are together it is just pure contagious fun!  We had access to a condo that was right in the heart of downtown and it really had an awesome view of the city from the rooftop deck.  After the formal ones that we did inside the condo, we headed up to the deck to do the outside ones.  Mother nature wasn't very kind to us today, because as soon as we stepped outside we were blasted with drizzle and wind.  YUCK!  Despite the cold, we did manage to get a few good ones, they just aren't posted on here...so the family will have to be patient to see those!

The Grandparents and their Grand kids.

I am going to be quite honest with you, I have no idea how these two are related but it sure made for a cute picture! :)

The immediate family.

The Grandpa...

and the lovely Grandma.  These two I learned today just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past June.  What a wonderful example of a lasting marriage!

We had quite some laughs with the series of pictures that we took below.  Reasons why will only be shown in their gallery! :)

Thanks again for the pleasure of photographing you guys today!  You all were wonderful to work with!

Thankfully one of my informants :) let me in that my email was not working correctly.  I am SO sorry for the inconvenience and hope to have it fixed shortly.  Please if you need to get ahold of me feel free to give me a call at 616-531-7952.  I will post when I have it fixed which hopefully will be soon.  Thanks for your patience!

Beautiful But Brrrrrr...

This morning I met up with this adorable and full of life 3 year old.  He just turned 3 and was pretty excited about it!  This guy was a mover and a shaker!  We happened to meet up at a park with playground equipment and ducks, there is nothing more distracting that that, but thankfully I got him to sit still just for a few keepers!

Told ya - He's three!

His mom kept telling me this was his "modeling" pose, with the head tilt.  He worked it!

Thanks for sticking out the cold with me this morning while we did his pictures!!  I had a blast! Hope you enjoyed your sneak peek!

Are You Kidding Me?

This is what I am thinking in my office after hearing Gibson yell, "Mom, Rylee is cutting all her hair off and putting it on the floor."

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?  I about had a panic attack.  No I do not do my daughters hair everyday, and no I do not need it to be perfect all the time, and yes her hair looks mangy after she wakes up from her nap and for the most part I'm not too fussy about it, but I DO NOT WANT TO CUT HER HAIR!

Apparently she had other ideas for me.  Here is what she managed to get, no it's not a lot though I know it could have been a lot worse.

Thankfully it was after naps (meaning hair was now only in a half pony tail at this point) and she only cut what was underneath most of her hair.

I've learned to loosen up about it a little now and I can actually laugh about it...a little.   :)

"'Tis The Season To Be Jolly"

I'm just going to let my adoring fans :)  out there know that I might not be posting many pictures coming up in the next few weeks.  With the Christmas season approaching I am leaving it up to the families to whether or not they would like their pictures posted on my blog.  We don't want to ruin any surprises for those Christmas cards!!

Speaking of Christmas cards the deadline for ordering your cards is December 1.

If you would like to set up a session for the holidays please do so quickly as I am filling up fast!

Senior Fabulousness

I met up with Rebecca and her mom this afternoon to get those senior pictures taken care of.  Rebecca just happens to be Joe's cousin so we had a wonderful time together!  We started off at my "studio" then we headed to a park on this beautiful fall day.

Isn't she beautiful?

I was SO glad that it ended up being nice out today.  We originally planned on doing these pictures on Tuesday but it was so rainy we had to push it to today! Yea for nice weather!!

Congratulations on your senior year Rebecca!  I hope you enjoy it!

Success!

Joe and I had a powerful night last night as we witnessed Trey going from the laying position to sitting up by himself. I didn't know whether to laugh or to cry I was so excited! Trey currently is going to therapy at Mary Free Bed for some development issues. They are not quite sure if this stems from all the ear infections that he dealt with up until 8 months of age or because of when when he had meningitis at a week old. At therapy we are working on getting him strong enough so he can learn to crawl and eventually walk. It was just SO exciting to see that we are making progress with our little buddy.

He is also at Mary Free Bed at the orthotics department for his 2 forms of plagiocephaly. Here he is sporting his cool helmet!
